Hi Everyone:
I rarely find a book as captivating as Keeping Faith by Jodi Picoult, I started reading the book at 9 pm with the idea that I would continue tomorrow nite until I'm done reading it.
The story is so compelling and vivid that it seems I was watching a movie being narrated in my head instead of reading.
This is a compelling story.. If you have read this book I wanna hear from you, if you have not read the book I have a copy.
"I want to send to the 1st person that links this blog to their blog..:)"
here's an excerpt from the reading group on this book.. and reading questions HERE
For the second time in her marriage, Mariah White catches her husband with another woman, and Faith, their seven-year-old daughter, witnesses every painful minute. In the aftermath of a sudden divorce, Mariah struggles with depression and Faith begins to confide in an imaginary friend.
At first, Mariah dismisses these exchanges as a child's imagination. But when Faith starts reciting passages from the Bible, develops stigmata, and begins to perform miraculous healings, Mariah wonders if her daughter--a girl with no religious background-might actually be seeing God.
As word spreads and controversy flares, Mariah and Faith are besieged by believers and disbelievers alike, caught in a media circus that threatens what little stability they have left. Building inexorably to a climactic battle for custody, Keeping Faith explores a family plagued by the media, the medical profession, and organized religion in a world where everyone has an opinion but no one knows the truth.
Fascinating, thoughtful, and suspenseful, this extraordinary novel is Jodi Picoult at her best: controversial and compelling.
Needless to say I was up until 4.45 am this morning finishing the book, I just couldn't put it down....
My next book of Jodi is The pact you can find more info on it here
What books have you read that was very compelling?
Have a great day,
Maggie

Hi Everyone:
Did ya know Orlando is one of the Major testers in Nation, practically every new technology gets tested here...
Example when the new menu fiasco came out from MickeyD, some of that sauce was tested here, I gotta say I'm in the minority here but I luved that sauce...
Which brings me to this point, since Summer CHA (craft hobby Association) is moving to Orlando instead of Chicago every month I will be bringing to you some fun, quirky and really fun stuff to do here while in Orlando, and yes that includes the theme parks as well..

Ok going back to MickeyD did ya know that Orlando has the largest MickecyD, I plan on taking you on a tour of that later on this month when I show you all the funky building on the tourist drive..

Anywhoo the theme for this MD is Africa, it's quite ornate and it also feature the upscale Bistro menu..

The person creating the menu wears a chef uniform and hat, when I asked to take pics they declined..
Here's what the interior looks like...
Let me know what ya think? and what part of Orlando you are interested in visiting?
Have fun,
Maggie

Hi Everybody:
I gotta tell you outside of FRED and the basic Grey magnet board, I've never fallen in luv so hard for a tool before, not even for my Sony SLR camera...
I luv luv this machine I can't begin to tell ya how much..
Anywhoooo I've been searching for kewl blogs with tut, I found tons of Cricuit but not for the cuttlebug. Even the Official site seems to be update sporadically the last time it was updated was August 15... don't get me wrong I hardly have time to update this one either....
Going forward the 15th of every month we will be having designers from all over the net, uploading their creations and fantastic tutorials here... so come back and check us out and tell your friends...
To start with I wanted a stylish bag for my bug and didn't want to spent the 89.99 they are selling for, so instead I got this bag from the closet and padded it a bit with foam and put my cb in it..
isn't it cute?

the Inside I don't have the dies in there I have them in a separate folder, which I also luv...
Best of all this bag was only $12.99 when I purchased it and it's sturdy....

I've created this card using a fun technique , with stamping, inking, embossing, it's also fast.. I will tell you about on the 15th so come back to see how you can create it?
This will be a fun stamping card to make for Thanksgiving!
I've also created another very simple card using dryer sheets
HERE

Have a bless week,
Maggie
