Sonic Boom! (shuttle)

Thursday, March 27, 2008

In the past 18 years of living in Orlando, I've never experience the Sonic Boom from the Shuttle reentering the atmosphere the way I felt it last nite..

The side of the house rattled and the noise was like a bomb exploded. I have several vases on my lanai they fell and broke.

My tile lay out on my kitchen counter fell and broke.. I have to say it rattled me, not knowing what was happening.

Then I found out the Sonic boom was heard all the way in Sarasota which is 2 hours away from here.

Now It's exciting, I plan on taking my dd to the Kennedy space center on Friday, so hopefully we will be able to ask some question on why this shuttle entering was so different from others.

Have you been watching the new releases from CHA?
Fiskar came out with this scallop punch that everyone 's been looking for and I have to tell you there have been sighting of it at Target. I've looked at 7 target, 4 Micheals, 2 Joann's, 3 Office depot.
120 miles later in Tampa I found 2..
This punch is great for any type of scrapping whether you are a hybrid scrapper or paper scrapper, card maker etc..

Here's the deal I'm going to give away a free Fiskar Water Threading punch this Saturday..

How does it work? add this blog to your blogroll, leave a message here that you have done so, then I will use a number generator to give this punch out Saturday morning!

Here's a lo I created last nite with it, I was so excited to use this punch.

Good Luck,
Have a great day,
Maggie

I have never seen that punch before, but I've heard people talking about it. Usually, punches don't interest me that much, but I NEED this one. It's so cute.

And, that sonic boom thing is kind of crazy. I'd be freaking out cuz I'd be scared. Glad I don't like near there. :)

Hi,
I spent a couple of weeks in kissimmee in Feb - I wish I had known you then - maybe we could have scrapped together!
I was outside and waiting one AM there for the Space shuttle to return and I heard the boom! But it didn't seem all that loud. But last night my brother called (he lives in Winter Haven) and he said it was the loudest one he'd ever heard - said it really shook their house!
That's too bad about it breaking your vases!
I don't have a blog - but I subscribed to your blog's feed!

My youngest son is heading your way tomorrow. You will probably fall down laughing when I tell you why-Wrestling! He's going to some Ring of Honor matches and hopes to see Rick Flair inducted into the wrestling hall of fame. Help me people-he's going to want to scrap his pictures when he gets home and I don't know if I can do it!

That is a cool looking punch. Very different.

Neat description of the sonic boom from the shuttle. I was reading that they had to change the time of the landing from the original plan due to weather?? so I wonder if that had anything to do with it?
