Our Special tradition since she was 2 years old is to attend the Nutcraker play and the Opera versions.

What special traditions your family follows?

the Festival of Lights is very well known world wide, you can find more info about here

Shimmerz Paints Blog Hop

Monday, September 21, 2009

Hi Everyone,
I am absolutely excited to be part of this fabulous team  Shimmerz Education team and my first blog hop with
S H I M M E R Z !
OMG I've created my first ever video so please take it easy on me:)-) Please share any ideas you have with me, it seems so easy, but for me it was a learning curve, any tips and tricks are truly appreciated :)

Did you know that S H I M M E R Z came out with new Fall colours?
off course you did :) right!!!! Did you know there's awesome sale as well?????

This is a fun tutorial showing you what to do with those left over pieces and how to create your own background with the help of Shimmerz and some paint, voila your own unique background!

Continuing on our blog hop. I hope you have had a chance to start at the beginning on the Shimmerz blog and came to my spot from Leslie Ashe now it's time to hop on the train again and visit Michelle Lanning next.

My favorite was Angel's breath but now I gotta say it's Antique Lace.

Thank you for stopping by :)
Don't forget to sign up as a follower to the blog so you are the first to know of what's going on :) Leave me a comment and I will draw a name for a shimmerz paint prize.

I've created a simple tutorial on how to create a unique background to convey the feeling of your lo, and also to destash :)

Here is what I created using the tutorial.

Beach bum? The story is: I ask my DH to go to the beach and be beach bum for the day. What's funny about this is my DH can't stay still for a long period of time he gotta be on the move :)
Spending 3 hours on the beach is quite a feat indeed!

Supply used:
Scrap papers, Delta Creamcoat acrylic paint, Texture Magic, Shimmerz paints, Uhu glue, Paper glaze.

And yes this is actual sand mix in with Antique Lace Shimmer. kewl eh?

More sand detail from the beach, and shells we collected...

Thank you so much, hope you had fun :)
Don't forget to check the Shimmerz Blog ALL this week for amazing
projects by the Education Team AND the Design Team!

Hi Everyone:
I finally find the time to share with you some dt work I created for Markspapercompany.

Here is the shadow box I created. I had ordered some shirt for my DH and they came in in this darling box, I knew I had to alter them some how.
Here's what I did with it and you can also go Markspapercompany for the full tutorial there.

This is what the box look like:)

This is what I did to the inside of the box, using the English Garden Papers :)

Hop on over to Markspaperco to see the full tutorial and leave me  a message there and let me know what you think?
Supply list there as well.

Shimmerz Paints

Friday, September 18, 2009

Hi Everyone,
I am excited to announce I am on the Shimmerz Educational team.
I met the Fab Stacey back in April, when I asked her to sponsor the Cuttlebug Challenge blog. Due to scheduling issues we put if off for another time.
Recently I started to her about sponsorship of the cuttlebug blog and also about doing a review of the product on the new blog.

I am so excited to be part of this wonderful team and educating. As all of you know I've doing teaching for a long time now, from assisting at Creating Keepsake Magazine University to online.

Be on the look on Monday as I do my debut on creating videos..
Come back and let me know what you think :)

Have a fabulous weekend,
Maggie
